# What Managing a Storefront on Pipeline Bio Is Like

> How Providers claim, manage, and grow a Pipeline Bio Storefront: Capability Listings, the Storefront Management Portal, Profile Strength, Clickable Tiles, and responding to enquiries.

Most Providers, including CROs, CDMOs, academic laboratories, and consultancies, still rely on referrals, conference booths, and cold outreach to be found by Members or partners.

That gap between biotech activity and Provider visibility is the structural problem Pipeline Bio addresses. A Pipeline Bio Storefront is how your organisation enters the Platform. It gives biotech, medtech, and research teams a structured way to discover your capabilities, evaluate fit, and start a conversation.

For a Provider, managing a Storefront can be as light or as involved as you choose. Many Providers claim their Storefront, verify the details, and let enquiries arrive in their inbox. Others actively curate, refining Capability Descriptions, surfacing flagship work, and responding to enquiries in real time. Both modes work, and the Platform is built to support either.

## A Storefront is free, and open to more than traditional service providers

Listing on Pipeline Bio costs nothing. There is no fee to create a Storefront, publish Capability Listings, or receive enquiries, and being a Provider does not require a paid Member account.

If your organisation already appears in the Directory of Providers, you can claim your Storefront through the Get Listed page after a short identity verification. Each Storefront indicates whether it is managed directly by the Provider or curated by Pipeline Bio from publicly available information.

Member and Provider are roles, not organisation types. A biotech or pharma team that uses the Platform to find Providers can also hold a free Storefront of its own, commonly to surface collaboration or licensing opportunities.

## A single place to control visibility and engagement

The Storefront Management Portal is where everything related to your public presence sits in one place. From there, an Account Manager can update Company Bio details, manage Capability Listings, add Clickable Tiles linking to external resources, and review incoming enquiries.

The aim is to keep your Storefront accurate and current without recurring effort. Updates apply across the Platform wherever your capabilities appear: search results, the Directory of Providers, the Catalogue of Capabilities, and AI Search Agent responses.

Support is built in at the level you prefer. You can request a tutorial session and walk the Platform with a Pipeline Bio team member, or email any requested changes to Pipeline Bio and have them applied on your behalf.

## Your public company profile

The Public Details section is the foundation of your Storefront, and is what every Member sees when they browse the Platform. It gives potential Members a clear, high-level view of who you are and what you do.

This includes your Company Bio, up to two Company Categories (CRO, CDMO, Academic, Analytics, Consultancy, and others), Quality and Compliance Accreditations, website link, and the regions where you operate. Together, these signals let Members quickly assess fit before reaching out, which is the difference between a qualified enquiry and a wasted exchange.

Your Storefront also displays your capability coverage across the top level of the Capability Taxonomy as a radial graph. Members see at a glance whether you are a specialist or a full-service organisation.

Logos can be updated to reflect current branding. Edits are lightly reviewed for consistency across the Platform and typically go live within a few business days.

## Building Profile Strength

Each Storefront has a Profile Strength indicator that scores completeness against a defined set of factors. Reaching 100% involves uploading a logo, publishing Clickable Tiles, adding keywords, populating FAQs, listing partner and customer logos, and collecting customer endorsements through a shareable link.

These are not vanity metrics. Keywords feed directly into the AI Search Agent and expand the surface area of search terms that return your Storefront.

FAQs pre-empt the predictable questions before they become enquiries. Customer logos and endorsements convert visibility into credibility, with endorsement responses kept confidential and used to support Providers on the Platform.

Profile Strength is not enforced. Your Storefront works at any level of completion. But each factor compounds: the more complete the Storefront, the more discoverable it becomes, and the more confident a Member feels before submitting an enquiry.

## Highlighting content with Clickable Tiles

Clickable Tiles let you draw attention to specific content or external links directly from your Storefront. Up to four tiles can be displayed at any time. Each carries a title, body text, cover image, URL, and category, and can be updated, hidden, or removed whenever needed.

Providers commonly use Clickable Tiles for flagship services, key web pages, peer-reviewed publications, events, and news.

## Listing and managing capabilities

Capability Listings are the specific offerings Members can enquire about. Each listing carries a Capability Description and a Classification within the Capability Taxonomy, a four-level hierarchy that moves from broad domains to highly specific sub-categories.

<Note>
  A representative Classification: Clinical → Clinical Research Lab → Sample Processing & Banking → PBMC Processing & Storage.
</Note>

That structure means Members find you both through the Directory of Providers and through capability-first browsing in the Catalogue of Capabilities.

Listings are not limited to fee-for-service work. Each is tagged as fee-for-service, collaboration, or licensing, so partnership and licensing opportunities sit alongside paid services.

New listings are reviewed before going live. Live listings cannot be permanently deleted; they are archived instead, preserving a clean audit trail. Status is tracked across Live, Pending review, and Archived tabs, and archived listings can be republished at any time.

## Receiving and responding to enquiries

Member enquiries arrive in your Provider Inbox, each tied to a specific Capability Listing, and include the Member's message, any attachments, and an attached RFP if present. New enquiry notifications go to your nominated email.

Some enquiries arrive with a formal RFP attached. Others begin as informal questions and evolve from there. Each enquiry opens a secure Chat inside the Platform, where you can respond, share documents, and upload a quote.

Open and closed enquiries are both tracked, so a Provider can respond at its own pace and maintain a clear history of every exchange. For organisations used to losing context across fragmented inboxes, that single source of truth is one of the quieter productivity gains.

<Warning>
  Responding to an enquiry creates no binding agreement. All commercial terms, contracts, and payments are agreed directly between you and the Member, off the Platform.

## Multiple Storefronts for sub-departments

If your organisation has separate departments, laboratories, or facilities, each with distinct capabilities and their own Account Managers, you can request additional Storefronts.

Each new Storefront requires its own user account and email address. The upside is precision: Members find the right team, not a generic organisational page.

## The economics of being discoverable

Paid directory listings, conference booths, travel, and staffing can quickly become expensive. A Pipeline Bio Storefront is free.

It is a structured channel through which the right Members can find you, understand your capabilities, and start a conversation, without adding marketing overhead.

The Platform supports discovery. Your Storefront gives Members the detail they need to take the next step.
